Golden hour

Nothing shows off the end of the summer like a golden hour session in Potomac!

Turns out, when Ang and Randy wanted to capture images with their twins, Callie and Henry, they only had to go as far as their back yard.

Well, truth be told, their gorgeous piano and the amazing light pulled us into their music room first. Between the best rendition of Chopsticks I’ve ever heard and their dog Millie trying to get in on the action, it was the perfect place to start. SIDE NOTE: this father & son make a mean duo on the piano!

Later, when we headed outside, we had the orchard, the patio and the barn to play with – all beautiful backdrops. I loved seeing the bond between Callie and Henry, and how even though they’re maturing into young adults they clearly still have a connection with their family. This is exactly what good images are made of… when you feel the love it shows!
